What a US LLC costs a non-US founder
With Mainstay Filing: $199 a year, which includes formation, the registered agent, the annual report and the EIN application, plus a one-time $99 for the EIN if you have no SSN or ITIN (it goes in by faxed Form SS-4), plus the state’s filing fee. In Arizona the first year comes to $348+.
Mainstay Filing
$199 a year + $99 once for an EIN without an SSN
- $199 a year covers formation prepared and filed, the registered agent all year, the annual report prepared and filed, and the EIN application; the price is the same for every entity type and state
- Founders with no SSN or ITIN pay a one-time $99 for the EIN
- There is no add-on menu: no EIN add-on, no operating-agreement upcharge, no rush tier and no compliance plan

Questions
Can a non-US resident form a US LLC?
Yes, the states we cover let non-residents form LLCs. You need a registered agent with a street address in the state of formation (46 states require one), which is what a service provides. Tax filings for foreign-owned LLCs are a separate matter for a US tax adviser.
How do I get an EIN without an SSN?
The IRS online application asks for an SSN or ITIN. Without one the application goes in on Form SS-4 by fax or mail. Mainstay Filing handles it for a one-time $99 when you have neither. See EIN without an SSN.
What does a US LLC cost a non-US founder?
With Mainstay Filing: $199 for the first year plus $99 once for the EIN, plus the state’s filing fee. In Arizona, the lowest three-year total, that is $746 all in; see the table.
